More than all the fires (2026) is a painting by Tal Placido in graphite, acrylic, oil pastels, oil sticks and gouache on found linen on board. The found textile support carries its own history into the painting, a hallmark of her process.
Tal Placido is a multidisciplinary artist based in Central New York, known for large-scale abstract paintings. She works on found materials such as vintage linens and textiles, building each surface with acrylic, oil pastel and graphite and exploring themes tied to her identity and heritage as a first-generation Filipino American.
