Philip Vaughan

Philip Vaughan is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, architecture, and design. Educated at Cambridge and Chelsea School of Art, he has a passion for geometric abstraction, explored across diverse mediums, including public installations. His early work, Neon Tower at the Hayward Gallery, exemplifies this approach.

Vaughan has developed an expressive painting practice, focusing on dynamic abstractions. His paintings, rich with color and movement, explore the interplay of form, light, and space. Throughout his career, Vaughan has also ventured into animatronics design, including projects for Walt Disney. His public art installations can be found across urban landscapes and gardens, where he masterfully integrates sculptures into the environment. His artistic contributions, blending two and three dimensional media, have earned him recognition as a significant figure in contemporary art, and his works reside in many private collections.

Based in Altadena, Los Angeles, he continues to push artistic boundaries, exhibiting his works in prestigious galleries and art fairs.

Vaughan’s works have been exhibited internationally, with solo shows in Europe and the U.S., including the 2023 LA Art Show, where Vaughan had a solo booth.
