Derek Boshier (1937–2024) was a founding figure of British Pop Art, rising to prominence in the early 1960s at the Royal College of Art alongside David Hockney and Allen Jones. Across painting, drawing, film and graphic work he examined the relationship between image, media and identity, and his work is held in collections including Tate, the Victoria & Albert Museum, MoMA and the Centre Pompidou.
