ABOUT THE COLLECTION
Women of the Rocks, Slinger’s latest body of work, is a meditation on the unity of the feminine and nature. Created during a pilgrimage to Bryce and Zion Canyons during the pandemic, the series merges photographs of geological formations with the nude forms of female muses—many of whom live in Slinger’s creative community.
The collages presented in this exhibition are composed with simplicity and precision, blending figure and terrain into a singular presence. They reflect a longing for expansiveness during a time of isolation and echo her earlier works in both mood and message. Complemented by life casts, stones, crystals, and an animated film, the installation creates an immersive space where earth and body are one. Women of the Rocks is not merely a visual series—it is an invocation, a mythos of the eternal feminine embedded in the land.
